Grand Illusion - Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt 2014
#1222
Finally! I am going to sneak in one of each block between my last two UFO's. Once the baby quilt and Hanukkah stocking (think Christmas stocking but made in blue & white) for my new DGD are done, I will finally, finally, finally be able to work on GIMQ. Yay me! Love seeing everyoneelse's projects. They inspire and delight me.

I'm no where near finished with the blocks, but I do have some of each step made. I'm aiming for about half of each, and I think I have half of the half done in steps 1 & 3. Step 2 is giving me fits, so only 24 finished of them. But I will get there eventually.

Argggghhhh...am I a ditz or what? I just did up a couple of clue #1 (my first) and trimmed them to 4" square. Somehow this doesn't seem correct. If someone could PM me...I don't want to put how I did them on here, as I don't want other folks to pick up my bad habits. (I used a method that BH didn't mention). Thanks. My clue #2 came out fine (I think) - rectangular, but I didn't trim yet (left 1/4" seam allowance all the way around). Not sure if this is right, either??? Oh, help! Thanks. Hope someone comes to my rescue.

Diane: That is the most beautiful bouquet. Can only imagine what the rest of the flowers looked like. Of course it counts, this is the season of the BH GI.
Brooke: Are those book covers, such as in Kindle, or book covers such as in printed? Love the Frozen one, her face is really amazing.
Sew Biz: Love the variety in you fabrics, especially the neutrals. I don't know why, but I never buy they figured neutrals just solids. I right there with you on the anticipation. Last couple of weeks, the computer gets a visit even before the coffee pot.

Brooke, the kids will love those bookcovers. What a sweet idea!
Everyone's units are looking great! I can't get over how distinctive they all are, even though many of us chose to use Bonnie's colors.
