Hiya Nilla, if you go here http://quiltville.blogspot.co.uk/201...r-mystery.html Bonnie gives you approximate yardage, for neutrals she says 3 yards, hope this helps. I don't know how much neutral we have used to date but I would think it's not far short of a yard, I could be wrong as I haven't caught up with all the parts yet!

Nilla can you post a picture of your fabric..... might have some. If my remainder ( I am also using only one neutral, a tiny print) is an indication 1/2 yard will be enough, but that is a really rough guess. Ready for clue #4 thanks to being "shut-in" by all the 'free water' falling from the sky.
I think after I finish more of this clue I might get one of my children to help me post a picture (which will show my neutral). Someone gave fairly easy step by step directions, so between that and help from the kiddos I think I will try. I'm so excited about how cute my colors are!

peaceandjoy, thank you for the encouraging comments!
Nilla, I really look forward to seeing your fabrics.
I hope we'll be using lots more blue in the quilt. Of the hotel photos, those aqua ceilings made the biggest impression on me. I've been thinking of ideas for piecing any leftover blues for the back.

Ha! You won't believe what just happened to me. I was rereading the latest clue, looking at the fabric and admiring the spider fabric, when a little spider walked across my screen. It was about the same size as the spider in the fabric and at first I thought it was an animation Bonnie had added to the page. Then I realized it was real. Gee....do you think I ought to quit sewing and dust!!!
Jo, my sympathies to you about the loss of your husband. Such a huge adjustment to make in your life. I read a quote one time about the steady monotony of hand work having a healing property. I wish I could find that quote because I think it is so true.

I was wondering about fabric totals also. The piles seem to be getting small and we are only in week 3. Maybe I didn't pull as much out of my stash as I thought.
Here is what I have done so far. 80 units from step 1, 70 units from step 2 and 40 of step 3.
