Teen, that is wonderful news! And getting your house sold is great too (lol!)

I love J DJ patterns. this is one of them - it's still waiting to be quilted.

Happy B Day Anael!

Teen - are you looking at the class at The Quilt Crossing? I was looking at the class schedule and ID looks like it would be one of the closer ones for me to attend. Two of the quilts on the three day group are ones I would love to work on too.

hmmm - wonder if I could swing taking the time off. My DD was originally planning a wedding in 2019 so I was saving my time, but now she's not sure (not on the guy, just the dates).

Happy Birthday, Anael!!! And, your grands are adorable....

Thank you everyone!!! So excited and much to do...

Macybaby...your quilt is my personal favorite of all your quilts. Stunning quilt and exemplary workmanship. Just love it. Yes, The Quilt Crossing is the LQS I am considering attending her class. They fill up quick so openings may not even be available. I didn't want to sign up until I knew I would there for sure. Her patterns have been a goal of mine and ones I didn't want to attempt until skill level better. She has two different workshops. A 2-day and a 3-day. Both offer different quilt patterns she'll be teaching. I fancy 2 of the patterns but they are all beautiful...

I'll probably have to put off attending out of town stuff until I'm retired . . . and while I'd love to meet her, I didn't really follow her directions that much, I did it my own way.

Her quilts are not difficult in the paper piecing, they are difficult because of the circle sewing. Since my background is mostly clothing, it wasn't really hard at all, you just had to be mindful.

I keep looking for more challenging quilt patterns, and figure if I want sewing challenges, I need to go back to garments. Then you have the extra challenge of getting it to fit and still be flattering, and with my current shape that is a lot more difficult!

That's why I don't sew garments anymore!! I don't like the way it looks on me now!

Never sewn a garment and I know rules are so different. My sisters were garment sewers and made beautiful things...just never got into it. My PP skills have improved and so has my curved piecing so maybe I will be OK. I'll choose something in lower difficulty for starters and see how I do.

Packing up sewing room but created a box with essential supplies so I can still play, if time. Highly unlikely but worth trying.
