I would pay that amount sewing if only...........but it's all 6" blocks and even considering Jen Kingwell designed lots of them it's just another sampler. Nothing like Long Time Gone or any other Kingwell quilt. But maybe it's different after all, we'll see.

Have a great time with your granddaughter!! How exciting to see her again after a long time! Hopefully she will ask for the next quilt.

Toverly, thanks so much for posting your GW here as well. It's a stunning quilt!!!

Just gorgeous, Toverly... Her patterns are addicting.

Sewing....your DGD doesn't care about dust. Lol...she just wants you. Don't overdo and I hope you enjoy the visit. Once she sees your GTSB, she's gonna want that quilt....lol..

Anael....no Dear Jen for me but I'm sure it will be another crazy colorful quilt. The layout options should be interesting to see.

That's what I'm interested in too, those layout options.

Thanks, Toverly, for sharing a photo of your wonderful Gypsy Wife quilt. I just love this pattern and your choice of fabrics makes the blocks stand out nicely. I just bought the pattern (Yes, pricey, but I felt it was worth the investment). I am hoping to start the quilt in September, when a local QS will be offering a monthly Jen Kingwell GW club at the shop.

Thanks y'all, I feel a bit sheepish posting in two places but it was a fun quilt to make. I have been helping two friends with their GW quilts. I think the thing that makes this quilt is contrast. One friend doesn't have enough, everything is a medium. No lights and darks. Brights can be contrast even though it's the same hue.
Nita, that would be a fun class to do. I had someone ask me to do a class, I just said no. It takes a truly skilled teacher to teach this one. I can do it but am not a true teacher.

Hi Nita, welcome!! Please share your progress with us! We'll cheer you on Have fun making your GW.

Toverly, I understand your feeling about posting in two places. Not everyone reads all threads, I don't. I should read the picture thread more often, I haven't seen yours there. So........no need to feel sheepish

I'm very busy cutting strips and assembling my second GW. I kind of forgot how much planning it takes to put it all together!! Section 8, 9 and 10 are finished. Now I'm working on section 1, 2 and 7. No picture yet as there are a zillion pieces
