Very cute, Foxflower. And, how touching that you could keep those blankets as part of it. I am sure she will love it.

Foxflower 01-27-2013 07:55 PM

Thank you MaryLane. She is pretty excited. I'm waiting on a Flynn Quilt Frame to start quilting things and this is probably going to be one of my firsts.

Yeah! My 1st UFO for 2013! It's been so long ago since I started this that I don't even remember who it was for. Its been sitting quilted & just waiting for binding for years. Just didn't like it anymore. But now it's done! Sound those bells.

SheriR 01-28-2013 08:52 AM

mimi, I think its a great holiday quilt. WAY TO FINISH!!!

Foxflower 01-28-2013 09:46 AM

Ring, ring! Congratulations on getting it done Mimi.

wildyard 01-28-2013 09:49 AM

dublb 01-28-2013 11:48 AM

I'm goin' on the home stretch w/ my bolcks. If I finish my blocks this month, git 'em ready ta QAYG in Feb., finish quiltin & assemble 'em in March. They wil actually be done by the time I had originally planned. :) My goal anyway! I'm plannin' ta do a Pony Club block each week also. Startin next week.

Hooray indeed. ANY progress is very welcome! And today while visiting my Mum I finished the binding on another quilt - that one just has a lot of threads to be disappeared and it'll be FINISHED!

QuilterMomma 01-28-2013 03:36 PM

I am so thrilled to see all the ufos being done. Feeling a little bad, but just a little, having more fun ringing the bell for all of you instead of tooting my own horn for a change. Great job people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoying the show.

I hurt my back so I am just barely keeping up with my row robins at this time. I will show you a photo of the quilt my daughter made her boyfriend as soon as I get the camera loaded onto the computer.

dublb 01-28-2013 04:50 PM

Huggs QM!!! Git better fast!

mom-6 01-28-2013 07:19 PM

Yea! I got my first UFO of the year all finished! All I lacked was finishing the hand stitching on the binding which is a type of project I work on while I'm babysitting either my DGS or occasionally a friend's children. Anyway I got it done before the end of the month. Next UFO may not go as quickly as it is hand quilting which takes me forever. I started that one a couple years ago and am only about half finished. So I may not get it done by the end of February. But I am going to get some of it done which will be progress.

Very often I finish the quilt top and then rush on to the next project without finishing the one before. This year is going to be different, so here is the finished quilt that I began about half way through last year.

carriem 01-30-2013 04:29 PM

I agree Dublb is a great encourager. :)

I finished my January UFO...it was a BOTW from last year, so not too old, but still one I wanted to get done before it sat too long. Don't want to post it every where so here is the link to the original thread... http://www.quiltingboard.com/blocks-...ml#post5826179

Fraew 01-30-2013 05:17 PM

@carriem: toot toot, beep beep, ring ring and ding dong! Congratulations.

February UFOs here we come! :)

dublb 01-30-2013 05:28 PM

Ok I don't feel quite up ta snuff tanight. I slept 10 hours last night & am sleepy now. I don't think I'll finish my log cabins till tamarrow. :(

Foxflower 01-30-2013 07:44 PM

Sounds like sleep is what you need Bev. It'll help you get back to the sewing machine faster and with less unpicking. I always make mistakes more if I am tired.

wildyard 01-31-2013 07:46 AM

How well we have all learned the lesson of not sewing when the body says no. The problem often seems to be, for me, just how many more times am I going to have to learn it? LOL

Get your rest Bev, we will ring the bell till you feel better!

Awesome finish Carrie, your quilt is beautiful!!!
Ringing that bell loud and long!!!!!!!

Skratchie 01-31-2013 12:44 PM

I know we're already a month in to the year, but I'm new here. Can I join? I have eleventy billion UFO's. OK, maybe not THAT many but I have a LOT. :-) Some encouragement to get them all done would certainly help!

Fraew 01-31-2013 12:56 PM

Eleventy billion? Wow! Maybe I should cut myself some slack on finishing UFOs and start some projects. Can I get anyone here to sign off on that ???

Welcome Scratchie. It's never too late to join us and share this journey together. :)

wildyard 01-31-2013 01:06 PM

Happy to have you Scratchie; whooottttt whooooooooooooottttttttttt... the train whistle blows as another person hops on the UFO train.
This thread is where we post photos of our finished projects and celebrate and urge one another on.
We have a sister thread where you can post photos of the UFO's you are working on, or going to work on, discuss plans and projects, etc.
You can ask for help on either thread and there are lots of us here to answer questions, give advice and encourage and support in whatever way you need.
So happy to have you and all the other new members with us!!!

Welcome, Skratchie. This is the place to come for encouragement on your eleventy billion UFOs. You can do it

ladydeluxe 01-31-2013 05:12 PM

I has really helped to know that I'm not alone, that others have also accumulated UFOs. I started 2013 with 25 UFOs in various stages of completion.

5 partially completed quilt tops
11 ready to be pinned for quilting
4 ready for quilting
5 needing binding

I'm thrilled to announce that at the end of January the status of my UFO's are:

13 quilt tops ready to be pinned for quilting
6 ready for quilting
3 needing binding
3 completed quilts

I haven't started any new projects and am looking forward to making additional progress in February. Thank you all, your finished UFOs has been my inspiration.

Fraew 01-31-2013 05:44 PM

Yippee Wendy! Woo hoo! Toot toot and beep beep! :)

carriem 01-31-2013 05:47 PM

Wendy--great progress for January!! Keep up the good work. :)
