It looks like things are moving right along... way to go everyone!

I've got 2 table runners that are no longer part of my UFO Collection. I Heart Pink (UFO Finish #8) was made using a Thimbleberries pattern called "Queen of Hearts". It was a give-away item from a 2 day quilt shop hop I attended years ago with my Mom and two of her friends.

And Leoni's Floral Stars (UFO Finish #9) was inspired by Autumn Stretched Stars from Pat Speth's "Nickel Quilts" book. Leoni was the swap hostess where these beautiful metallic Christmas floral charms came from.

And, hey, I'm down to 69 UFO's from 94 on 10/1/12! Our arctic weather in MN keeps the stitches flying.

carriem 01-31-2013 06:52 PM

asimplelife--those finished really nice...I especially like the Christmas one.

Well done Wendy, am very impressed by your productivity and organisation.

asimplelife lovely table runners really love the hearts, any chance of a copy of the pattern if it was a freebie? TIA

Ding Dong finished my UFO for the month a Christmas wall hanging which has been in progress (or not depending on how you look at it) for three Christmases. My goal for Feb is to master posting pictures as well as finishing another UFO. Good luck to everyone for February.

I have tried everything I know to do in order to post pictures, to No avail. Even created PDF's, still no luck. I don't know what to try next. I just had a thought, I will put them on my flash-drive & try to post from my church computer where I do the bulletin.

Great finish, by far my favorite Thimbleberries quilt!

I continue to struggle with my king size tshirt quilt but am keeping up with doing the 5 squares a day. Today I finished #25, so I'm at the halfway point!!!! Yayyyyyyy.......

Here is my first February finish. I made the top back in November at a quilt retreat, but waited to quilt it until I got an extension base for my long arm machine. Discovered one of my new favourite rulers making this - a Cut-A-Round for making circles. Easy, fast, and fun!

Wildyard, good job. I plan on posting a pix of the UFO I'd like to finish this month but haven't even been able to pull it out. We're keeping 2 granddaughters this weekend and at 4 & 6 there is never a quiet time :D. Never realized girls talked so much until we got these

createfourpaws 02-02-2013 06:16 PM

Just found this thread, and have been going through and reorganizing what I had and forgot about some of the UFO's I had. I have 3 quilts that all they need is the binding. I am game for this challenge.

GirlLivingForJesus 02-02-2013 06:18 PM

kristakz my little girl would LOVE that quilt she is all about "bubbles" she is almost 3 :D
If I could sew that straight I'd make one

dublb 02-02-2013 09:04 PM

Krista - I just love that Dot quilt. Your crosshachin' just makes those circles pop!
createfourpaws - Welcome! We have a "sister" thread that we post what we are tryin' ta finish & git ideas on how ta finish 'em. Come & post here so as ta encourage us & maybe yourself along the way.

Got Some UFO's Done!

Finished one quilt for a birthday present that isn't even belated yet! And two charity quilts that someone else is going to quilt for me! I would put up pictures but I can't figure out how. :(

WOW, awesome finishes and lots of them. I am feeling a bit left out, will get there though. You ladies are being an inspiration to me seeing how well you are progressing. Here is a finish for my daughter. No this is not a ufo, I only had to cut up, she did rest. Yes, I helped load on longarm but she did all the rest. Good thing, I couldn't.

SheriR 02-04-2013 07:59 PM

Krista! I so want to make a circle quilt!!! Congrats on your finish, it's MARVELOUS!!! :D

You can do it, Sheri! I highly recommend the "Cut-A-Round" ruler for it, however. On further reflection, I actually could easily have made this out of a whole piece for the background, rather than piecing it.

This is great because my New Year's Resolution this year is to get all my UFO's done and out of my sewing room closet! I already finished a large quilt I had started in 2009 - got that one done and quilted in January! Now on to the next quilt top sitting half done! This is the quilt I had started in 2009, and just finished!

Ding Ding Ding! I was very proud of myself for finishing this all flannel 105" by 115" quilt!

Ringing the bell loud and clear for our new member Nancy aka BoJangles.... clang, clang, clang, clang...
Welcome and what a wonderful and inspiring quilt you have shared with us as your Jan. finish. I look forward to seeing many more lovely quilts as you play your way thru those UFOs with us!!!

BoJangles! I just love your quilt w/the house. Way ta go!

Ranchwife 02-05-2013 01:35 PM

Ok, I'm new here. I've read through many of the pages here and I believe the UF in UFO stands for 'unfinished', but what is the O? Thanks.

kristakz 02-05-2013 02:17 PM

Same as the traditional UFO - Object. That way it covers the whole gamut of unfinished objects - quilting or otherwise :)

Ranchwife 02-05-2013 07:54 PM

Thanks. I suppose I could join but I am only working on one quilt project at the moment and it should be done in mid march. Sooner if I could set and hand quilt for longer than 2 hours of an evening! :)

Foxflower 02-05-2013 08:01 PM

Hey Ranchwife, I don't suppose you live near me? I'm a ranch wife too (most days I feel like the rancher) in NE Cali nowhere near the Bay area or disneyland. ;)

And WELCOME by the way.

BoJangles! I just love your quilt w/the house. Way ta go!

Thank you all for the nice comments about my "house" flannel quilt - I just realized that quilt was started in 2008. Yep, I have made a commitment to myself to finish all my UFO's this year. I have 5 BOTM's to finish, 3 Strip quilts, 1 mystery quilt, 1 French Braid, and 1 french braid obsession! I love this thread, hopefully you guys will keep me motivated to get them all done! I am finishing one of my strip quilts now - I hope I can get both of them done for February!

Geeze, I do actually finish quilts - I think I finished 4 last year - but, to look at this note it would appear I just start quilts and never finish them! I didn't even realize how many I have sitting until I started to count - you know, one or two a year that didn't seem to get done! After 10 years or so, they add up!

I have finally finished one UFO, this one was started in December 2011 right after Christmas.
It is a pieced, quilted & beaded wallhanging of our 9 grandchildren.

wildyard 02-06-2013 01:36 PM

Congrats on your great finish, but even more, congrats on having such a fantastic wall hanging of your lovely grandchildren!!

dublb 02-06-2013 02:20 PM

Oh gramquilter2 I really love it! There will never be another one like it! Awesome!

foxylady4748 02-06-2013 03:31 PM

Hi, I'm new to the quilting board, saw this thread and said great, this is just what I need. I moved recently and found several UFO's I have forgot about. I will be quilting one tommorrow. My LQS allows you to rent time on their quilting machine and I've made my appt.

Will send a picture as soon as it's bound.
