I am so close to finishing a UFO. I am on the backfill part of the quilting. Silk thread is nice to work with on the longarm. Anxious to post photos of the finished product for you. That will be one UFO finished in two months. Then maybe I can move onto some easier UFOs.

I'm afraid to count mine. I have bins of good intentions. I am certain that I have 25-50. I have been working on this for a while on my own. I finished one quilt a week ago and started another. My goal is to finish at least one ufo before starting a new project.

After sitting in the UFO pile for 2 and a half years, the sampler quilt is done! Some folks may recognize the blocks from the Craftsy 2013 BOM taught by Laura Nownes. It sat for so long because I was trying to decide whether to put the sawtooth border on it. As you can see I decided not to. So all it needed was to be bound LOL!
I substituted the 5 circles and 4 rings block for the basket block that Laura put in the quilt. And I changed the layout and filler strips and used fabrics from my stash rather than purchase new fabrics for it. For the quilting I ditched everything and then FMQ'd around the patterns in the fabrics. Rob |
Great quilt, Rob, and good call on not doing a sawtooth border. I think it would've detracted from the main body of the quilt. I like your colors. Tangerine and turquoise look so fresh together.

TOOT TOOT Rryder! Congratulations on another UFO finish. Two and a half years? Well, that's not soooo long. I've got at least one sitting, waiting, for 15. :( I like the simple border of cream is it? Anything more would definitely have been a distraction. Congrats again.
