Never mind. I looked up the answer on the 2015 UFO thread. The grand total FOR THE YEAR was 321, so we are 78% of the way toward that. Good progress, I'd say. But wouldn't it be GReAT to surpass that and hit 500 as a group???

I think with the holidays at the last half of the year that maybe a little optimistic. But I've been wrong before. I knew we were well up on last year which is great. I don't think I'll be adding anymore to the count this year but I maybe ready to attack the navy quilt after I take the machine applique class. And after that I may have enough fmq experience to attack the butterfly. So 2017 is looking good. Ah hope springs eternal. And in the meantime I can cheer for all of you that are getting them done now.

Won't that be wonderful?! Five! I'm practically holding my breath...
There's one UFO here that's been hanging around since, omgosh, 2005 according to the date I have on it. It's actually a cross stitch piece (we won't even TALK about how many of those I have!) that I've put a fabric border on. I just have to quilt it a little bit and top stitch it and it's done. It'll be a mini-wall hanging. I do consider it a quilting UFO so maybe I'll have another finish ths month.

As soon as the binding is completed, the hardest part for me, will have five to report. Yippee, give me a couple more days. Yep, getting there. Two of them are Christmas Tree Skirts that were started a few years ago. OOps me.

Well, I alone probably have enough to get us to 500 this year but who can spend 24/7 on UFOs??? OK, it's a great big exaggeration but I do have a couple of dozen. If I can finish up three or four more big projects this year, that will help. If others can do that too, who knows how close we'll get?
Can we break last year's total of 321??? That's "only" 70 more to meet it and 71 to break last year's total! How about it folks?

I certainly could help with that, I have 42 of them that I know of. Once I get those done, I am sure I have more hidden away, oh those swap blocks that got put away and left to hide from me.

Okay,
I've got one flimsy that will be a finished quilt by end of month, just need to decide on backing, sandwich, quilt and bind. Then I've got 2 that I definitely need to get done by end of the year for granddaughters. That's 3 that I'm sure I will get finished by the end of the year. I've also got lots of UFOs in various parts and pieces, some of which may be finishable.:sew::sew::sew::sew::sew::sew::sew::sew::sew: :sew: Rob |
