Thanks, everyone, for the kind words!
Anoka Quilter, I do hand quilt also, but this one I did on my Sweet 16. (The eking was due to my back wimping out after a few minutes of pushing the quilt around.) |
joe's mom beautiful quilt. I love what you did on the back too. Congrats on the finish.

Here are a couple more UFOs finished. I was out in the garage on longarm Sunday waiting for customer to decide on thread. I was cleaning up (it needs it badly) when I ran across this pincushion I bought in Hawaii and started when on vacation there in 2008. Yep that long ago. I realized I do not do hand applique and set it aside. Worked on it yesterday and this morning. I tried to do some hand quilting. Nope not happening. Put it under machine. I did do trapunto on the turtle. Finished up by machine. Then I had these mug rugs that needed finished up. They were easy to do, just close them up. Yes! I did finish them by hand. Yippee me. Elly, way to make the best of something you don't love. Congrats on your fix and toot, toot on your UFO finish! But frankly, I rather like the green center.

Finally a finish for me. The blocks I made seven years ago and didn"t like. Decided to sew up this fall and still didn't like so I set the whole thing on point. I like it better at least. This is a donation quilt.

I need to take pictures but I finished two UFO's today both are about 2 years old and got about a third of the quilting done on my DH UFO that one is only about a year over due but it will still be a Christmas present if not the one it was intended for. Also go another UFO basted together ready to go. Once I have my FMQ machine out I seem to get a lot more done. Really need to find a way to get both set up and ready. Then maybe I won't have quite so many UFO's, Okay that's asking a lot but still.

Finally finished this UFO. It'll probably be my only UFO finish for Nov. as we've got out of towners coming to stay Tuesday and will probably be here till Sun + 14 people coming for Thanksgiving dinner.
The colorful part of this piece was finished 3 years ago and I could never decide what to do with it. It's going to go in our gallery member's biennial show which opens the day after Thanksgiving. It's approximately 30" x 38". Rob |
Allspots, nice finish! Congratulations and Toot, Toot!

I just finished two more UFO's to add to our total. The cross-stitched one had been overlooked when I did my UFO count in January. I added the borders and quilted it.....love the Robyn Randolph fabrics and made two so far, but have lots more fabric to do more.:-)

...I finally have a UFO finish to post! This is the UFO I was nearly done quilting in April when my back decided to go on strike. I eked out the borders a few minutes at a time over the past few weeks. I pieced this top in 2013, added the borders and pieced the back in 2014. The border and backing fabric were the last fabrics I bought at my beloved LQS before it closed. The panel and pattern are by Sandy Gervais.
This brings my grand total for the year to . . . two finishes. I probably won't finish any more this year, as I'll be wrapped up in the Bonnie Hunter winter mystery starting on Friday. Hoping for a better total next year! |
Janice, with all these finishes, I'm curious, how close are we to 400?
|
joe'smom, that looks great, and it is finished and ready to use.

If I get my way, I am going to have a couple of mine quilted this weekend since we are staying home.
