Question of the day: if we go on a trip and lose 2 UFO's that we're in a baggie, does that count as being completed? It is technically out of the and as far as I'm concerned I can't complete the project anymore. I just wished I had not lost them on my trip. Oh, well, I guess I was not meant to complete these projects.
The projects everyone has complete looks nice. I love them all, big or small. |
Sorry you lost your UFO's. Just start some more lol

Oh my not sure what to think of loosing one much less two although there are a few I would like to cough cough loose. This is my first UFO finish for October. I remember thinking it was bright and happy. I used scraps and stash to make the flimsy which is from the blog sewing is more fun then housework ( cause isn't it) and the backing also came from stash and was equally happy. I just stitched in the ditch and did a simple wave down the rows. I wish my sewing machine had a serpentine stitch

Two winners Juanita Bean...meanwhile happylab has two losers...eek...must admit it's a painless way to not have a UFO!
Altairss...what a fun quilt... |

Technically my fish quilt was finished in September.

If you started it, Zozee, and it languished, it's a UFO. I don't think it matters if you started the back first :) ! Toot, Toot and congrats!

Janice, you can remove my finish above from the tally if you don't think it qualifies. I started the back long before I started the front, and there is languished waiting for a top. That's why it felt like a UFO to me. And because there was a long pause between piecing and binding. It was nagging me, a "got to" not a "get to" quilt. Anyhow, enough whining. It's done, I'm glad, and some little girl in a country far away will receive a baby doll from me, wrapped in this quilt.

JuanitaBean, congrats on your UFO finishes and your Blue Ribbon! I love the scrappy and the heart in the center. :) Wonderful idea. Toot, Toot!

Sorry I'm late getting my UFO in but it was in the Fair and had to wait till it was over to get it back. It got a First ribbon on it.
I also did a crazy quilt I had in a box for three years. Didn't have enough sq. so had to make a heart to finish it. |
September Tally
Since my last post with names of UFO finishers, several more of you have added finishes to the September Tally and the mini-challenge. Those who recently finished some UFOs are Altairss, QuilterMomma, KrisB, Rryder, KwiltKrazy, MadQuilter, Tlambling, Zozee, SheriR and JuanitaBean. Congratulations, Quilters! Toot, Toot! You have helped to push September's total to a big 27 finishes. Twenty-seven! Ok, ok, it's not the 30 of the challenge but it is so darn close, I'm calling it a win.
And that brings this year's total UFO finishes through September to a whopping 353! Congratulations one and all for pushing this train along the track yet again. Toot, Toot!!! Great job! |
