Sheri simply gorgeous! I like the idea of the fans but thinking maybe something simple? And since the row by row was done last year I think that does count as a finish

I was thinking big soft swirls or curls sorta like this?

Sheri, I think a simple meander would :
1. Be easy for a newbie 2. Give some circular motion to a linear quilt pattern 3. Not show up much because of the busyness of the pattern and colors, so you wouldn't be wasting effort. The sheer size of it will be a challenge enough for you! |

My one and only finish for September is this one. I'm calling it "Horse with No Name" because I had
"been to the desert" of ideas when I started it in June (?), and the last few days of working on it in September gave us torrential rain. "It's good to get out of the rain." Horse with No Name is a doll quilt for Operation Christmas Child. Happy trails, little pony. edited to say maybe I started in August when some of you began sending me birthday "candies"? Or did I already have all those 2.5 " squares ? I can't remember. Please tell me if you sent one of those candies. It seems the quilt was languishing on my design board a lot longer than two months. |
Sheri, 1st thing I'd ask you is "do you have a long arm or are you quilting this on a standard machine?" Long arm Baptist fans would be beautiful, but a little more intense on a smaller machine, feathers the same way IMO. Large swirls or an all over meander would be beautiful....your design and colors show themselves so well. Would love to see it when you have decided and have it done.

love your finish zozee.

How cute, QuilterMomma!! And kudos to Annaquilts for helping you get it finished!! I'm sure you will have the stars done soon!!

Beautiful finishes. Love this thread for that. Must be why I participate as I haven't had my own UFO finish in awhile :)

Sheri, you've been busy :) The Orca Bay is beautiful!
I think the Row by Row baby quilt would sneak in under the UFO title since it was from last year so Toot, Toot on that one! (Those fish are darling!) The mug rug is adorable and I'd like to see what those Hexi's end up becoming. Thanks for sharing the pix.

And so you don't think I was slacking, here is the baby quilt I made. I used a row by row I had made last year so would that be a finish? I also had a mug rug swap to finish. They're both en route via usps! The last pic is some EPP hexagons made with my grandma fabric. My daughter started it.... It's now my evening sit still project. I'm not looking forward to joining my sections...:D

Cute finish. I'm a big fan of the 2.5 inch squares myself. :) I better be because I've got thousands. I'm thinking this is not a UFO finish since it's only a couple of months old but if you think it's a UFO let me know. Thanks!
