When you sew your strips end to end, just make sure that when you sew them together lengthwise that two seams don't meet at the same place.
The binding is cut 1-1/2" and the piping is 1-3/4. That way, when you press in half, 1/4" of the piping will show. This is a non-video tute for those of us who need to read the instructions (like me). http://www.lvqg.org/media/2a7a5a699c...02ffffe415.pdf |
Thank you ever so much. That makes sense. Will check out the other link you provided. I will be trying this on the next new quilt. I have lots of UFO tops to finish but I have the bindings ready for all finished tops....always make the bindings once top is done.

Thanks for posting both tunes Belfrybat. I think I'll have to try that one next time I want an extra pop at the binding---Doesn't look as difficult as I'd imagined, except for trying to stay in the ditch LOL

Yeah -- I have problems with staying in the ditch. I just bought a new foot that is actually a joining foot but was told it worked great for staying in the ditch. We'll see....
ETA: sorry about the size of the pic -- it should have been much smaller! |
Anybody have any June UFO finishes that can be added to the tally? I'll post the count on Wednesday.

I have three finishes for July. They are all small projects that I have had the supplies for awhile, but just around to doing them. Since I didn't start them until July, except for the snowman coasters, I will count them all as finishes and not UFO's. I have UFO's to finish, but my machine I use for quilting is still at the shop. Maybe in August.

I just finished another UFO - a Christmas table runner. I've been having problems with my machine lately so not getting the quilting done that I had hoped to accomplish. I'm sending two more UFO's out to be quilted this week so will post pictures when I get them back.
