High 5 finish, Kris...Keep it up. It sounds like you've decided to take care of the UFO's and then start on new ones. Good for you. Wish I could be that disciplined.

Congratulations on your wonderful finishes!

Wow, Krisb, those are beautiful! You've been very productive & I congratulate you.

Conchlea-Congratulations on finishing your art quilt-I love the windmill!
Motorcyclemad- beautiful finishes, congratulations! Krisb- congratulations on all your finishes. That mint border was the perfect color for the dresden plates! Rob |
Krisb....your quilts are all so pretty. This batch was a sentimental journey for you. The dresdon is an heirloom and so cool that you finished it. Bravo for staying the course!!

My scrappy Around the Worlds and Diagonal August finishes were out of these (5-1/2"). Over Labor Day, the same friend gave me a tote full of 6-1/2" squares. I told her that she was conspiring against me because I couldn't add them straight to the last batch she gave me...;) I finally got through this new set of fabric and was able to configure another "20" sets--all Queen sized. Ice said that if the material was together, it was a UFO. I guess my original count has increased by a factor of 4. :o |
Those are wonderful finishes, Kris. It sounds as though you have your UFOs well in hand!
Such a pretty quilt, Conchalea! |
Good morning everyone, yes I'm one of the train rider's that keep falling off the grid. So I am a strong lurker. But I do have a September finish. This particular UFO is only four years old. I started it in 2015 for my then Georgia football boy. He has now moved on to Nevada and tried his hand at high school football. I aim at getting it finished for him as a graduation present back in the early summer. But, 'life got in the way.' As it always does, but I got it done. Now, the backing is more interesting than the actual top. It is on it's way to the LA, who is my first cousin, she always keep me motivated toward my finishes for my children. So, 'out da door,' I go with that one and one more that has history of twenty years, that I finished a few months back. I didn't want to mention on this thread until I could get it long-armed. The story is too long to include in this post. When both are completed I will try to post the pix. I am really more excited than I am reacting on here for these two finishes. Glad to be a part of this motivating train just wish I could keep the pace more steady so I wouldn't be in this place. I really don't want to count my UFO's, just want to finish them.
Well, my fellow UFO'ers, I am truly headed to the LA, so happy sewing to everyone and make it a good one. Cherryb |
Good job, Cherry!! Looking forward to the pix!!
