Thanks, ladies!

Carol, yes, the second colorway is totally different. I had originally decided to do the mystery in constants, built around a large floral print that I'd bought for a border that didn't work out; but then I was won over by the Provence colorway. Then I got to wondering how those other colors would look, and since our workload was lighter this year in the early clues, I began working on the second colorway during clue 5.

joe'smom, You have a special frame just for holding quilts so you can take a picture of them?

It looks wonderful, Lisa! I, too, like that light lavender running around the outside. Very clever.

givio, yes, I do. DH is too short to be my quilt display stand (LOL), so he bought me this one. This is the only spot in our house where I can get far enough away from a large quilt to get it all in a photo.

Thank you, audsgirl! Those lavender/neutral 4-patches were part of one of my failed border experiments, and I nearly forgot I had them. I had a hard time deciding whether or not to use them. I'm still not 100% sure, LOL.

joe'smom, Do you have to sew a sleeve on the top edge of the quilt to use the display stand? Or does the quilt top attach to it a different way? Velcro? Glue? :-) Just guessing...

givio, I ordered a couple of heavy duty clips with the quilt stand, but my hands weren't strong enough to open them (I doubted whether anyone could have opened those things), so I constructed a sleeve that I pin on to quilt tops in order to photograph them. I do sew a sleeve on most of my quilts when I do the binding, in case I or the recipient should ever want to hang them.

Thanks for the info! I'd like to take 'straight on, forward facing, full view' type pictures of my quilts instead of laying them on my bed, but I haven't devised a method yet.

I am lucky enough to have a clothesline in my back yard. I love to take photos outside of my quilts! I am waiting fabric for one more border on my En Provence, then I will be done.

Lisa, your quilt top is beautiful! Looking forward to seeing the second colorway.

Thank you, Miss Rita! Will you be posting a photo of your finished top, or did you already do so and I missed it?
