Yes, thank you WMUTeach, I have been singing your praises in other threads so don’t be surprised if a few members reach out to you. : )

I use Photoshop Express to resize my phots to medium and then they upload just dandy...but I have to do it on my IMac as I can no longer upload photos from my iPad

Now you are cooking Jmoore, with your blocks and pictures both! Lovely colors, I'm rather liking it without sashing.

jmoore, I use this site to reduce my file size. It doesn't do much more than that but that makes it easy! As an added bonus it doesn't set off my virus scanners:
https://www.reduceimages.com/

I just use the default settings it offers and then download the file from there, then when I upload it here it is already in the Downloads directory which is a default search option here. Periodically I do some file management of my downloads directory and store the images in my quilts folder.

I know Macs are different in some details but as an added help, I reduce my overall main window size to about half screen on the bottom half and so the drag down spot for the graphic is visible (this makes sense if you visit the site). It stays at the shape I defaulted it to because I dragged in the corners. Then I click on File Explorer option and I've resized that window to fit above the reduced main window, so I just drag my image from one screen to the other.

Because of my vision issues, I do use rather large pictures for the default in my file manager and not file names. It really is just drag and drop.

Photoshop is awesome and does many things but I don't have it on this system. My issues are using older technology, so I'm transferring from an actual digital camera and the camera software is not up with today's standards and options! I mean, I think we were still using disks back then...

Jmoore your blocks and color are stunning. I can hardly wait to see the finished top.
Iceblossom - you are much more technically advanced than I am....sounded kinda like Greek to me.

It's so hard to explain things well, Carol... if I was more technically advanced I could shoot a video or at least take screenshots... now there's an idea! Let's see if this helps --

First off, I use firefox and have a bunch of protection stuff on my system, it probably does not look like yours, but they all have the same features.

Picture one shows my reduced screens, quilting board is the first tab, the reduction is the second. My file manager which in my setup of windows is the File Folder icon on the bottom next to the search bar, I click that to get it to be where I want it. Because I shaped and moved it before and because I have my system set to default when I do stuff like that, it is always that way.

I drag the picture from my file manager into the box on Reduce Image site, then I maximize the screen and follow their prompts and defaults to reduce the image and download it to my system.

Picture 2: After typing my post in Fast Reply I hit go advanced and find the manage attachments section.

Picture 3: This shows the defaulted attachment screen, I have to CTRL click to get there but I think that's just one of my lockdowns.

I click into the folder to find the Download directory up near the top as one of the default search locations and select the file.

Picture 4: You have to stretch that out to get to the upload button.

Oh, here's a picture of the default directory where I choose a file between shots 3 and 4 above.

The file directory actually appears over the top of the lower screen, I just moved the screen to show where it was.

You can see the default file directory for you to search your system. Downloads is one of the first options and where I usually go. For these I had to find the Screenshot directory which isn't something I regularly use. It's funny -- if you look closely at the file manager window I have for it (background top center screen) you will see the screen shots I've been taking for this appear in the order I've been posting.

I do love technology and doing something new, but back the regularly scheduled Bonnie Hunter thread. I hope those who have been having problems posting pictures do manage to figure out their issues!

jmoore: Very pretty blocks.

Iceblossom: Great way to explain how to download pictures. You have a generous spirit.
