Conchalea, this is a wonderful idea. I've ridden for about 15 years but not much lately. This would be an enjoyable "project" for me. I can start in my own county. :) Hope you enjoy your ride.

I plan to put about 1500 miles on my bike & get pictures of my bike in front of more county courthouses. Texas has 254 counties, each with a courthouse. So far I have 154, so 100 to go!....

Jclinganrey, thanks so much for posting this challenge. I've just run across this today and while I don't have enough strings right now, I'm going to keep this in mind for the future. AngelinaNR, thanks for a wonderful tutorial.

Janice, I started this with my first bike, 11 years ago. My grandmother taught Texas history & I thought this would be a good way to ride the entire state& honor her. I have 10 more right now-164!

I have also been working on mine. Have about 157 made. Ran out of black so picked up more today think I need to make 59 more to make a twin size. But my bucket is still running over with strings maybe a full size or king ....probably the largest so would go is a full as there are a lot of seams and will be heavy. But will probably stop at a twin. As Bonnie Hunters new strong quilt book will be out on December. Still working on Talking Turkey.

The three in the middle don't seem light enough But you might want to try to turn them over and see what the back side looks like and then you might be able to use them in the light. And occasionally use the left one of the middle pile in the dark side if you need darks. just my 2 cents worth. I'm working on mine intermittently. I can never seem to be able to post my pictures. I have in the past but then I forget how I did it and it takes me forever to do it again, Oh well, when I figure it out I will post a bunch of pics of lots of quilts!

I like your cutting table, can you tell me any information about it? I will be putting together a sewing room soon, and I am on the hunt for a good cutting table. Thanks!

So good to hear from you, Janice. Not so much a challenge as a quilt along. No timeframe, no deadlines, etc. I'm doing mine as a leader & ender project and am clicking along.

Will also be doing a variation with my Kaffee Fassett fabrics.
