Here is mine using single cuts instead of strings - I ended up going a bit larger and added four more rows so it's 50x52. I haven't done any more work on the strings one, will have to get back to it soon.

All of you are doing such beautiful work. When they are finished I'd love to feature them on my blog--only with your permission, of course.
Thanks for your active interest in my idea! |

This is great fun for me. This morning I finished cutting my black triangles (enough for a queen size) and hopefully will get time to do a few blocks today.

I've sewed strings on 24 triangles, about 1/4 of the triangles I'll be able to cut from the fabric strips I have left. I've laid those out & right now they fill about 22" by 34". I'll lose enough to reduce this number of blocks to 20" by 32". My main problem now is I'm almost out of strings long enough to sew to the triangles, that it, without sewing some together to make them long enough. I'm very pleased with the 3-D effect the blocks give, even though there is a wide variety of colors in both light and dark. My blocks in B&W and in color:

Conchalea it is looking good! I have plenty of strips but they are thin a lot of them are under 1 inch. My tub still is running over may make larger or make more string blocks for a different project. I make a lot of quilts for charity so we will see.

Macybaby your looks gorgeous with a controlled color palette. Love this pattern /tutorial it is a winner no matter if you do a controlled palette or scrappy.

this is what i worked on at my 3-day retreat [cut short by the weather]. I have them all trimmed and ready to sew together, maybe tomorrow. i didn't really have enough lights with me, so i used the backs of many of the other strips.

QuiltnNan, I like how your top is coming along. It looks very dimensional & seems to have movement. Good job!
