Looking back over the pictures again, I’m just taken with how each quilt looks a bit different based on fabric! Very interesting pattern.

So I intended for this to be a stash buster to do something with these leftover batiks and have the fun of trying a one day mystery. I'm so happy with how it came out that I'm definitely making it bigger.

I love seeing everyone's quilts! They all look beautiful! It always amazes me to see the different looks that come from different fabric choices.

Well, as I look at all the quilts, I keep thinking, "Oh, that's my favourite so far!" They are all striking. I decided I wanted a larger quilt but ran out of the light green. Since I didn't want it square, I enlongated it by borders. It ended up 60 x 72" - a perfect throw size. Not sure I'm completely happy with the result but I think this will make a colourful splash in the nursing home. When it was done I ended up with a 12" strip of the light green. Whew!

all of your quilts turned out great! it's really hard to pick out a favorite

Everyone's quilts are so pretty. This was a great mystery as they have all turned out lovely. Finally have my blocks done and on the design wall.

I love these finished quilts!
I printed the clues but I've been so wrapped up in the BH mystery that I haven't even started.
I can't wait to make mine.

Imade my second Merry Mayhem quilt. All that's left is put the binding on.

Everyone!
I love looking at all of your quilts. They are beautifully done! I printed out the clues and hope to get to one after I get a few WIPS done!
Thanks again for the link up to this mystery. I like them!

QueenbarbieJ, another nice Merry Mayhem, I really like your floral/paisley print. It is such a fun pattern but I’m not going to start a second one until after I catch up with BH mystery.

I seem to no longer be able to upload photos from my Ipad (or at least not yet) but after sending a text photo of my quilt to a girlfriend, I discovered in the photo that I had a block turned incorrectly. She said she didn’t see the mistake but it stuck out loud and clear to me. Luckily I have not sewn the outside border on but I will be ripping out the corner of the quilt today to fix it. (Sigh)

Absolutely loving everyone's quilts! I love how there's always one diagonal that's really bold and immediately jumps out, then after a second you notice the other, more subtle diagonal as well. Such a neat effect!

Quilt top is finally complete!!!

I started with the lap size but added a row of blocks to make it 5 x 5 & added a 3rd border so it ended up somewhere between the twin and full (65 in x 65 in) It's my 3rd completed quilt top/quilt so it's very exciting, although somewhat amusing that I like this mystery pattern more than any pattern I've specifically picked out.

Please excuse the black triangles, trying to cover my shameful kitchen floor that needs sweeping :)

Vadalia, your quilt is lovely...great fabric combination.

QuiltnNan 01-12-2020 04:22 AM

Here it is July and I am just finishing the Merry Mayhem 2020 New Year’s Day quilt. I finished the top way back in January, but for some reason set it aside for a long spell. Finishing it reminded me how much I liked the pattern. I’m happy with the results. Thanks for revisiting this mystery quilt with me.

That turned out great! Love the back as well.
