SewBiz, I got the Merry Mayhem email too. I think I’ll pass this time.

Great log cabin quilt, NZ!

NZquilter, your log cabin looks great. It is perfect.

NZ - great log cabin! I have not made one of those yet.

I couldn’t wait any longer. Just wanted to see what it would look like so I did four to sleep on! Not sure how many I’m going to make.

Nice 9-patches, Tweety and GramE!

Thanks for the comments on my log cabin. I'm glad you all like it because this morning when I laid out the blocks it looked like scrappy mess to me. I guess I hadn't had enough coffee yet:D

I don't know if there is such a thing as too scrappy, NZquilter! I love your log cabins.
I'm not as fast as some on this board, but I am half-way through this clue.

You've got some wonderful neutrals in there!

Well, I still need to finish my turquoise strips, but I have started to put my 9 - patches together ....... and my seams are all pressed open ..... lol.

I press a lot of my seams open as well, Sync!! For me, I find that my accuracy is much improved by doing this. The only thing I need to keep in mind is that I should Not stitch-in-the-ditch on those kinds of blocks/seams, as the SID is actually only grabbing the threads between the blocks. But I don't do a lot of SID anyway, so it's somewhat of a moot point.

Ahhh, wouldn't it be nice if we could All agree on something just Once?!?
However, human nature being what it is, there are always going to be some people who want to nit-pick, or criticize, or complain or Something!! There are always "police" and "snobs" in every group... and some are really awful, while others are just annoying.
For the most part though, I haven't really seen that here on the Quilting Board.

I'm loving all the pics... Bonnie's colors are really gorgeous, but since I'm also trying to use up my stash, I wonder if I should come up with my own palette, as some of you have done. Just lovin' it!!

NZ quilter love your scrappy logs. It will take on a whole new life after quilting. Also I too press seams open when there is lots of bulk, just common sense.
