I plan to do blocks #7 & #8 today. Just finished #8 Flying Churndash. Will do #7 after I rest awhile. Here is what I have been up to today... Trying to get a little better organized so went to the store for more shoe boxes for my Civil War FQ and HY. I have CW yardage in separate tubs. Saw a dry erase board size 14 x 14 and purchased it and covered it with flannel, for a Block Board for beside my sewing machine. Got the FQ sorted and started my block. Used a different method for assembly (to eliminate a couple seams) as you can see in the layout pix. And last, here is my finished block:

Making great progress, everyone. Jan, I like your cutting/piecing shortcut.
My current week's block is on hold til my new dark browns arrive. I went shopping at Thousands of Bolts again and they only cut full yards! So I have way too much fabric coming in the mail.... May need to sell off some fat quarters.

OK, here is #7 Whirlpool. No HST here; I made it using quadrants of Flying Geese and Sew and Flip Rectangles.
Made block #8 yesterday, so just three blocks to go and I will be caught up.

Looks like my brown fabrics are due to arrive tomorrow! I can't believe how fast they got that to me. I only ordered like Wednesday! The website is Thousands of Bolts... great place! Most of their fabric is $4.95 a yard and shipping is reasonable.

WOW So many beautiful blocks from everybody!
Finally, Block #9 Interlocking Pinwheels. This one has given me fits from the start, but I like how it came out in the end.
Two more to go and I will finally be caught up!
