Macybaby- that’s a great looking variation!
Krisb- I like the solution you came up with for the borders
Sewbiz- Your border is going to be fantastic

Wow, I have been away for a couple days and come back to all this. Amazing, I am using that as a real word here and not the overused one. I have two rows sewn together. I have to enlarge the picture as it is really hard to see which ways that sashing goes and would be easy to confuse it. Will post a pic when I am finished.

Wow. You guys have been busy. I am enjoying seeing how these quilts take on the personality of the maker. Great job.

Oooh, Sophia! That is pretty!!! The blocks that are different ads a nice touch of interest. Well done!

sewbizgirl - that border did not use up all the chevrons I made. I think I still have 12-15 left over. I did use up the extra 2" aqua squares I had miss cut, and the extra coral triangles I had miss cut so that was good.
Sophia, I like the way yours is turning out with the sashing on all four sides. I think your "variations" in blocks adds interest too. I've found four different layouts (so far).

Krisb, all that ripping! But you ended up with a great result.
Sophia, that's lovely. It looks like 4x6 is a perfect size.
Big regret as I put together blocks -- not heeding Bonnie's warning about not going too light with the aqua. Most of my 9-patch centers are ineffective and awkward looking. But not doing them over at this stage!

I'm being the defiant child today, I'm sewing my wing pieces with the aqua block on the inside corner and the coral on the outside.
