Jane, your blocks are looking lovely. It is going to make a great baby quilt with those soft colors.

I saw and loved this picture. Perhaps a suggestion for when your quilts are finished? https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hNUPsLl4-...in%2BQuilt.jpg

jclinganery - your delicate colors are sure to be a beautiful baby quilt!

QuiltnNan - that is the photo that inspired me to do the Irish Chain! Isn't that quilting gorgeous?

Love all of the Irish chain quilts that are being made here. I would love to see what everyone is using for background fabric..............

I will be lurking here....but I have plenty of 2.5" squares already to be made into something beautiful!

Fancy meeting you here, Barbara! I finished my Scrappy Irish Chain, measured for the backing and found a piece in my stash that will do. I used a white on white for the background just because..... I bought a bolt of it from JoAnn's a couple of months back. I adjusted the final top to fit my backing. (7 blocks across and 8 blocks down.) Now I have an extra row of 7 blocks. Guess I will have to make more rows and create another quilt top. Tee-Hee-Hee!
