Scrappy Irish Chain Sew-Along
#172
Christine, it is nice of you to share your workspace with you MIL. I’m sure your sewing enthusiasm will motivate her to sew again. I like to pick berries for jam also but they won’t be ripe here in Maine for a few more weeks.

I am off to the races and have just finished my 9th block. I am building as I go so I don't have any 2 scraps next to each other. After I am finished on the computer this morning I will spend the majority of the day working on my blocks. I got off to a bit of a rocky start as I cut my background fabrics wrong. Ugg... Way I see it those pieces just became the newest members of my scrap basket. Will post a pic soon. No better way to spend a rainy day that to quilt!

I finished my Irish Chain. This was a fun project. Unfortunately, it only used up about 1/10th of my already cut 2.5" squares. I was very proud that every piece in this project came from my stash. I did ruler work in the white areas to get in lots of practice with that. It's not perfect, but I'll be proud to turn it in to our Comfort Quilt Project at my guild meeting next week.

I've been lurking a little here and there and there is no way I can do an IC now.
When I do it will be my first but the ideas you ladies have given me are great!
I've loved watching the different ideas you all have and drawn in to every one .
