Well my MIL loved the bird double IC. So I decided to make her queen size one with cats. It's to go on the backside of her quilt. The front are blocks that from the boom swap currently going here on qb. So far I only have 6 scrappy blocks done. Hopeful by sunday I should have 2/3rds of the scrappy blocks done. The paper pieced cats will take me a while. I am aiming for 88x88 or 90x90 with boarders.

Queen - I loved your purple birds and look forward to seeing your cat IC, too! Will it be purple, also?

No it will be brown and creams. The front blocks are browns and tans. I'm in the boom 23 swap. Here is the link to see the front blocks when I get them. You'll have to scroll down to the bottom. https://boomerangswaps.weebly.com/bo...ight-owls.html

Beautiful Boom Blocks! Such a fun swap. Perfect color way for your cat theme, too!

I'm quilting my IC, finally! My granddaughter and daughter are coming for a short visit tomorrow, and I want to get this quilt finished to give to the baby, as a picnic quilt for playing on. I think as she gets bigger she will love looking at all the things on the little squares.

I cross hatched all of the chain squares, and now I'm fmq'ing kites and clouds in the white spaces. Will show you as soon as I get it done.

I would love to see the kites and clouds when you are done. Here is my cat IC so far. My cats aren't looking the greatest nor my squares.

All the irish chain quilts are so beautiful. Mine is coming along. I have made too many of the center nine patches. Now I need a pattern that use the nine patches. Hope someone here can help?
