Welcome, AlaskaAlice! The mixer covers sound like a great way to use up fabric.

It's finished, binding and all. 8 more to go of the forest fire quilts.

Default Here's a pic of my March UFO finish

Hey all,
I finished this UFO on the last day of March, but didn't get pics until last night. This one has been in the UFO pile for 3 or 4 years now. It's about 40"w x 50"l.

Thanks for looking,
Rob

Wow! Thanks for getting the March count up, but you didn't give any details!

Is this pieced? Appliqued? Both? Thread painting? Wholecloth painted by you?

So interesting - I see ocean waves and coral and sea creatures, but from another direction, it's like ferns unfurling around a pond. Very pretty!

April UFO done!

This is my grandmother's hand-sewn textured poly knit quilt from the 70s - she backed it with a sheet and tied it. The thread was crumbling and I just kept putting off trying to repair it - it's been nagging me from my closet shelf for years!

I re-sewed every seam, then backed it with this really nice "mod 70s" looking flannel and no batting - this quilt is heavy, already. It looks washed out on top because of the shop light over my ironing table, but the whole quilt is bright as can be.

It's in my living room now, to welcome Easter, because it's always reminded me of a beautiful Easter basket. Nagging, no more.
