Here is my February quilt done--thank you all for the encouragement and the feedback. This quilt has been "in hiding" for over two years and it's lovely to finally get it quilted and finished!!
It's a baby quilt from the book "Quick quilts to make in a weekend" (ed. Rosemary Wilkinson) but it nearly drove me crazy making it because of trying to get the right colors in the right squares. That's probably why I could not bear to touch it after I finished the top--hopefully I will know better the next time (so much for the "weekend" part!!)

I finished 2 UFO quilts this weekend that I'm claiming for February. The stars just needed to be FMQ'd and the binding and the purple just needed binding. It isn't yellow like the picture shows. I think the camera picked up light from the lamp. I's mostly purple like shown in the bottom half. Both are my charity quilts for 2011 and both part of my "no buy" attempt. Everything used for the top (and botton for these) was from my stash.

This is a ufo of a dear friend, Evelyn Rife. Her husband Jack gave it to me afterwards. Her ufos really upset him though he was a quilter also. So, for many yrs. it has been my ufo and I finally finished it in Jan. Only required the binding, and it is such a relief to have one less ufo. It's like exercising, I know I'll feel better if I do it, but it is the getting started that is so hard. I am trying to do my ufos so my husband won't have the upset when I am gone. :^)

Vicky (Zhillslady) you certainly have been a busy beaver this month! I particularly like your stars as they seem to me to "glow". I must try out that use of darker fabric for the center and lighter fabric of the same color for the star's points. Thank you and congrats!

Thank you for the compliments. I love the organge fabric. I'd had it for years and finally found the orange print to match it.
This weekend I was able to get the borders on 2 more and will hopefully get to quilt them this weekend so hopefully I'll have a couple more done for February.
