    Default Austrian Kettle Soup

Cabbage cut in small chunks 1 small head or equivalent
    Diced onion to taste
1 quart beef broth or stock
    1 cup water
1 can cream of potato soup (I use 3 raw potatoes diced)
6 sliced hot dogs (or ham or kielbasa smoked sausage)
    2 Tblsp dried parsley
    Black pepper to taste

There was leftovers so I added about 2 cups frozen green beans (previously cooked) & more broth I had in the refrigerator. Simple but flavorful soup. The meat adds enough salt for us.

Sounds just right for a cold day.
