ditto on adding shredded cheese!!!
and of course, you can't go wrong with extra bacon!!!

The dried cranberries are nice ..... kind of seasonal!
Any nuts .... I like pecans!

I was at restaurant the other day that had this salad and I've been going to look up the recipe. Thank you for posting it. Now I don't have to look it up. It was soooo yummy I got 2 orders of it. Thanks

I too have made my own variation of this salad for many occasions. Last week, I tried the Marzetti Cole Slaw dressing from the jar and it was very tasty - and quick!

I made this salad on Thanksgiving and enjoyed it leftover, too. I don't use nearly as many raisins as your recipe calls for - I did use dried cranberries this time and they were very good. I'll have to look up a recipe to see how many raisins mine calls for.

Love, love this salad. Do not use red onion, but Valdalias, or for those of you on NW, Walla Wall onions are devine!!!!

I made a chicken salad during the summer into which I added cut up apples, grapes and raisins. I can't wait to try this recipe. Thanks for all the ideas!

This one of my favorites, my SIL makes it just for me but she uses Miracle whip which has less fat and calories than regular mayo. It has become a staple at our family dinners.

This is my favorte salad. But I use rice vinegar....it's a little tangier then regular vinegar.
