I use a paper bag to pop popcorn in the micro all the time and have never had one catch fire. , Good way to cut down on the fat
by popping it dry.

I made the caramel corn with the King Arthur recipe and everyone enjoyed it also did the one with marshmallows and it was good. Keeping both recipes. Thanks for you help.

Wow! I now have several more caramel corn/popcorn recipes to try out. I did pop two bags of microwave popcorn, mixed and cooked the brown sugar/syrup mixtur, poured it over the popcorn, than baked it in the oven for about 10 minutes. The caramel stayed on the corn and husband really liked it. He has requested more.
