I take this every single month... It is expected. Never bring any home, and it is so easy. That makes it even better!

[quote=trisha]Cabbage and Noodles

This sounds good. Will be something different too. I love recipes that go a long way, but even more, I like them if they are EASY and GOOD! Thank you!

This sounds good too! My son and I both love anything with pasta. Will definitely try this soon! May add extra cheese, cause we both love cheese too!

THank you!

I have never shared this before, i hope my best friend will forgive me...It started out her recipe, but i upgraded it, so now it is mine. Stupid, quick, and never bring any home.

Kelly's Taco salad-
1-1 lb. bag of salad greens, your choice
I can Kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
1 can chopped olives
1/2 lb. cheese grated (I buy it this way)
1/2 bag of tortilla chips (any variety)crunched
1 lb. ground meat (I use turkey)
1 8-10 oz jar of chunky salsa

Place first 5 items in a Large bowl. Crunch chips over top. Pour meat over top while still warm. Toss lightly, Toss lightly again, (Keeps things well blended). Just before serving, pour on the chunky salsa and mix again. Serve with Sour cream, ( I use plain yogurt, personal preference). (I have a weird aversion to cream of any kind.)

This is even good, gently heated in a fry pan, a little at a time, the next day for lunch.(That is why I use Turkey, no grease)

At first I thought I would not like the beans, because they are canned, but if you leave them out, you are missing an important part of the mouth texture. I tried it once. Blech! You can also serve it with that wonderful avocado sauce that I can not spell...guaco.....you know the one I mean. Enjoy!

re: Kelly's Taco Salad..

Billie's (my best friend) favorite meal is taco salad. Her mother is in the last stages of cancer and has moved in with her so she can be cared for... This will be something special I can take out there for Billie since she is pretty much homebound right now. Know she will love it...and it sounds like something I'll like too. Thank you for sharing. Will pick up the ingredients when I get to town!

Here's my favorite, it always get snapped right up!

Honey Glazed Chicken Drumettes Sacramento Bee 1996

½ cup honey
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup ketchup
2 small cloves garlic, minced
2 pkg chicken drumettes

Heat honey, soy sauce, ketchup and garlic in the microwave until mixed. Pour over drumettes, coating thoroughly.

Bake at 375' for 30 minutes. Turn drumettes over and bake for another 30 minutes.

Chicken can be kept warm in a crockpot during a potluck.

3-4 Servings

Easy Corn Casserole....
1 stick margarine (melted)
1 c sour cream
1 can drained whole kernel corn
1 can creamed corn
1 box Jiffy cornbread mix (8 oz)

Mix all together in big bowl. Spread in a 13 x 9 inch casserole dish. Bake 350 for 45 - 60 minutes or until brown.... Good! I never bring any of this home. Anything you would share???
This time of year everyone in Central Cal. has an abundance of zucchini and can hardly give it away. This is a good way to use it up, and tastey too.

Zucchini Pie

4 Cups zucchini sliced thin - 1 small onion chopped - 1 cup Bisquick
4 eggs - 1/2 cup oil -1 & 1/2 cups cheese (any kind)
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregono or basil, all to your taste.

Put all in a large bowl, mix well spread in a 10 inch greased baking dish. Bake 350* 35 or 40 minutes.
