Default Gained Weight These Last Few Weeks...Augh!

Sitting around and eating more during this "social distancing" has really taken it's toll. I think I've put on at least 10 pounds! It's a healthy, homemade Cobb Salad tonight and back on WW tomorrow. Send over all of your low-cal recipes please.

You are not alone. I'm getting back on my exercise program. All my pants are too tight!

I have lost 11 lbs. since this all started! I did sign up for WW but have let that go as I know the drill: vegetables and fruits with little else. I have been trying vegetarian recipes lately and find that helps me. I found quite a few on the WW website before I quit. Now I'm at a plateau so am trying to fast from 7 pm to 9 am every day. We'll see if that gets my system jump started. Good luck to you! You are not alone.

I gained 10 lbs. Ugh! Going less to the store has meant eating less vegetables and fruit for me. Also some stress eating did not help.

I started doing Keto in February, but that was making me crazy. I'm a chef and there were just so many wonderful things to eat that it seemed were off limits, so I went to low carb in mid-March and I've been doing that along with some Intermittent Fasting 16-8 about 3 days a week. I've lost 19 lbs so far.
Must say I lost weight faster with Keto, but it wasn't worth it.
A really good book it The Obesity Factor, which really helped me to understand a few things about the real reason for weight gain in our society. Well worth the read, IMO.

Advice around here is to get up every day and put on a fresh pair of jeans that the 19 in Covid-19 actually refers to the weight gain. People in sweat pants and nightgowns are being surprised after a week of loafing around...

I'm "just" low carb too, Watson. Hubby is remaining Keto and has kept off his weight for a year now. I'm usually around 65 carbs a day, nutritionist says I can be around 100-120, hubby is still under 30 carbs a day. And yes, he's lost more weight (actually reached goal! and weighs what he did in high school) and faster but he really enjoys his diet changes but I really look forward to a piece of fruit or some low carb bread or something each day. I'm about to leave the house for this week for the run to Costco, we need dishwasher detergent, meat, and a big bunch of his supplements.

I'd like to drop a few more vanity pounds (20-40) but right now my body is pretty happy at this size (under 200 for the first time in more than 20-25 years), my weight is stable due to my "life style changes" and I think that is more important than yo-yo dieting and/or carrying a few extra points. I've maintained a 50+ weight loss for more than 5 years. Been stable at minus 100 for over a year going on two. And I still dream about everything bagels and cinnabons and mashed potatoes and pasta and bread...

Between my six weeks in a wheelchair and the nasty weather at the start of isolation I gained 11 pounds. I've lost 8 of them, so I was back to what is reasonable from me. My daughter bought me ice cream Monday - she said I've too long without it, so I may be not loosing the last three this week.

COVID19? - 19 pounds would be hard on my fragile feet and ankles. No, thank you!
