HAM & CABBAGE SOUP
(quick & easy)

Saute together 3 to 4 minutes:
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper

Stir in 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour and add 3 cups boiling water. Stir to blend.

Add:
2 cups finely shredded cabbage
2 cups cubed, cooked ham
1 bay leaf
salt & pepper

Cook 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
Remove from heat and add:

3/4 cup sour cream and garnish with parsley

Serve with cornbread. Yields 4 servings.

Just bumping this up. This is a favorite winter soup for my family. Good way to use leftover ham after the holidays.
