Default Let’s talk cookie sheets.

My “pebble” surface aluminum cookie sheet is like gold to me, it makes the very best cookies. It says “Southern Living” on the edge and I got it at a home party many years ago. I’ve looked into getting another but then I think, no. I don’t make that many cookies any more, one will do. Got something in your kitchen that you treasure?

I have this metal thing (sorry I don't know what it's called) but you put it on a pie so the crust doesn't burn while baking. I love that thing! I honestly can't think of the name of it. We had Thanksgiving at our son and dil's and I forgot to bring it for the pie making. I had to use aluminum foil and that is such a pain.

I use this baking set:

I own 3 of the cookie/baking sheets. My most value treasure in the kitchen is my Kitchen Aid mixer. Next in line is my set of enameled cast iron dutch oven, skillet and saucier pan.

I love my three Instant Pots. They have revolutionized what comes out of my kitchen.

My granny's antique tart pan. I keep it on my kitchen shelf and I like to think of the hundreds of tarts it has turned out over the last 100 years.

I guess I had a senior moment.

Regarding cookie sheets. I loved my old pampered chef stone one til it broke. Now I hear the new ones aren't as good. So I use one that has an air layer between two metal layers. No one in my family baked cookies. My grandma in her later years baked rustic pies. Now my daughter in law bakes a lot. She likes the older pampered chef bakeware.

I have looked at those enabled cast iron cookware pieces several times...I don't know anyone personally who use them. I end up not buying one because when I go to pick it up empty it is very heavy, can't emagine trying to do that when filled with food! Just my reasoning.

my fav kitchen tool is whatever I am using at the time of preparing a meal, imagining how much easier life is for us here and now as compared to the past or now in some primtve areas......

My older DD swears by enameled cast iron pans and uses nothing else. (I think I know why she never makes cookies.......)

The crockpot has become a favorite since retiring. Put it on and go!
