Ziti with hearty bread and a side salad is pretty reasonable. Dessert can be a sheet cake or apple crisps also hit the spot. Good Luck!

How wonderful that you have given so much of your time to church, and enjoy doing it at the same time. I'm on a funeral committee for our church, and it requires a 6 - 7 hour day, it can be very exhausting, especially if only one leader is working the funeral. We haven't done this at our church services yet, but I have heard of a "Potato Bar", similar to a sandwich bar with all the fixings for potato toppings. The size of the potato is significant, and of course you would go though a lot of butter and bacon bits.

    Here is what I cooked:

I got chicken breast buy one get one free. 5lb bags 5.99, each. Brought 8 bags with 7 breasts in each bag.

4 boxes of browni mix and a dozen eggs.

3 2-lb bags of rice, and chicken broth.

6 15-1/2 oz can pineapple chuncks.

2 gallon can of green beans

Using what was already in cabnet at church I drained the beans and
Used ham flavoring with bacon bites.

Terikie sauce to marinate chicken, with pineapples. Then I drainned off sauce placed it in pan boiled to thicken. Baked the chicken.
Then placed chicken back in sauce

    Steamed the rice.

Served one cup scoup ( 1-cup) layed chicken on top of rice with sauce on chicken. One cup of beans.

    All for 98.00
