I use the above recipe but I use either pineapple or m. oranges, I do not use both. Also good if you use peach jello in the place of orange. It is fast if I don't have enough cottage cheese, put in what you have and it works anyway. I use it alot for dinners and often take it when I need to have a quick salad for church dinners or unexpected guests.

thanks for the recipe
You are almost correct, just few minor changes.
1 package orange jello
1 large carton cottage cheese, rinsed and drained
1 regular size can pineapple crushed and drained, save some liquid
1 can mandarin oranges dained
1 8 oz. carton coolwhip
Stir well till mixed. Judge how much coolwhip you need by taste. I use some of the pineapple juice to mix in with a cup or two of mini marshmellows, when marshmellows become soft stir them into the jellomix. Adjust taste and add more ingredients if needed. You can't fail.

I make a similar recipe with lime jello.
1 small pkg. lime jello
1 small container of cottage cheese
1 small container of cool whip
1 drained can of crushed pineapple in its own juice
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Just mix and refrigerate. You could use any flavor of jello.

Here's how we make it.
1 tall container small curd cottage cheese
1 tall can crushed pineapple (drained well)
1 package jello (either size, large size gives more intense flavor)
1 md. container cool whip
fruit to match the jello flavor
Mix the jello well with the pineapples. This helps to keep it from being runny when finished. Add the cottage cheese and mix well. Then stir in the fruit then the cool whip.
fruit suggestions:
marachino cherries with cherry jello
mandarine oranges with orange jello
grapes cut in half with just about any flavor jello
Sometimes we don't put any extra fruit in it.
And no matter what color we make it, our family calls it THE PINK STUFF.
Enjoy

My family loves this recipe. I use mandarine oranges, drained. Also, I done this same recipe using raspberry jello and a cup or so of fresh raspberries or the frozen mixed berries from Costco. I beleive the possibilities are endless with different combinations. Let you imagination run wild with your favorite flavors.

Pink Stuff
I make this same type of salad that we call "Pink Stuff" with:
1 sm pk Strawberry Jello
1 lg. container small curd cottage cheese
1 sm. can mandarin oranges, drained
1 sm. can crushed pinnapple, drained (I actually squeeze it)
1 sm. container thawed frozen strawberries, drained
1 8oz. carton cool whip
Mix it all together and chill for at least 4 hrs.
