I do make the Oriental Salad but I do put the seasoning mix into the oil, sugar and rice vinegar.

I also make an old standby:

Broccoli Cauliflower salad
1 head cauliflower broken / chopped
2 heads broccoli broken / chopped
1 red onion chopped
optional 1/2 cup raisins, grapes, glazed pecans, cranberries what ever you like or a combination of items

Dressing:
1 cup mayo or salad dressing
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup wine vinegar with tarragon (or white wine or rice vinegar)
salt and pepper to taste
Mix and taste add more sugar or vinegar if needed

Oh, that sounds good!

I make cole slaw: 1 bag precut slaw, 2 oz. sugar; 1 oz vinegar; 1 8 oz carton whipping cream (do not whip). Mix all together, chill for about 30 min and mix again. It is the creamiest!

1 can cream of mushroom soup

2 cups rice (cooked)
Melt together cheez whiz and com soup over low-medium heat, mix in broccoli. Place cooked rice in 1and1/2 to 2 quart casserole dish, I spray with pam first. Pour cheese mixture over rice and mix well. Bake, covered, at 350 for 25-30 minutes. YUMMY, always a big hit!

6 Green Onions, sliced
1 head Cabbage (chopped fine) or 2 large bags Cole Slaw Mix
2 packages Top Ramen Noodles (crushed fine) – omit seasoning mix
½ cup Slivered Almonds (brown under the broiler or a minute or two)
½ cup Sesame Seeds (brown with almonds)

Dressing:

4 tablespoons Sugar
2 teaspoons Salt
¾ cup Canola Oil
1 teaspoon Ground Pepper
6 tablespoons Rice Vinegar (green label)

Mix dressing and add to other ingredients just before serving. You can easily cut this recipe in half and also you can mix the dressing earlier in the day and refrigerate until ready to use.

My family wants this at every gathering, we just love it.

That recipe reminds me of the salad they served in Nordstroms in Anchorage, Alaska. Yours is similar to mine but I add a little toasted sesame oil and cooked chicken into the mix. yummy

Once in a while I make oyster dressing. I mix the ingredients and let set over night. Oysters aren't so great anymore unless absolutely fresh. I use stuffing with garlic croutons. Throw in couple eggs (beaten) (all ingredients should be cold). Can of vegetable or chicken stock depending on how much you make. Couple stalks of celery, small onion (?) I use verrrryyyyy little pepper (like putting a burr down my throat). If you don't like oyster (I hate sage), you can use fresh sausage (browned then cooled). We throw in mushrooms and bacon pieces. I let it set over night just because. Not necessary. You can make it ahead of time and then just heat it up if you want. I like it for breakfast the next day if any is left over. Fry up a couple eggsor just reheat. Oh I usually put in 350 degree oven for about 30-45 minutes.

Just went to one! Can you believe Tater Tot Casserole: 1-1/2 lb of grd beef, cooked & drained - I make my own gluten free mushroom/celery cream sauce.(I use instant potatoes to thicken) 1 can drained green beans I caramelize a chopped onion. about 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese - mix all put in dish - then I carefully put the Tots on top in an orderly fashion. The kids like to see the Tots all lined up.
