I am going to try this right now! I just looked in cupbaords..I have lemon cake mix and cherry jello...so I guess we are going to do an experiment..I will let you know how it turns out! LOL

We loved this! We served with whip cream and thought even with our variations it was yummy!

I made this on Sunday...yummy. Very rich. Leftovers were good tonight for supper! Thanks for sharing this recipe.It was faster than making pie.

I have a really stupid question....apart from the fact we use metric (which I can convert)- I have never used cake mix, just cake from scratch, so my question is, do you make up the cake mix or use dry from the pack. Told you this is a really stupid question! from "puzzled down-under"

Use a dry cake mix. That's what makes this so easy. It makes kind a cobbler-type topping with the fruit on the bottom.

Right...really soooo easy and delicious...i have used white and yellow cake mixes and both work out just fine
