I'm planning on chicken shepherd's pie. I figured it will be something a little different. I also found a recipe for champ too. It's basically mashed potatoes with a little green onion and a well of melted butter in the center. That sounds wonderful. I didn't want to make the traditional things cuz you just don't know what everyone else is bringing. Most people make shepherd's pie around here with beef. I didn't want to use Guinness or Irish Cream cuz it's at church. Might not be traditional but I bet it gets eaten. lol

Thumbs up Japanese Beef & Potato Croquettes

    http://www.ibelieveicanfry.com/2012/...roquettes.html

Everyone loved it. the good part was I had left over massed potatoes in the frig and 2 baggies of shredded beef in the freezer. These croquettes were a hit with the family. We served them up with ketchup and mustard.

I'm roasting a chicken tonight. Guess we will have rice for some of us and mashed potatoes for others who don't like rice. Probably steamed broccoli.

Gee, Billi, too bad you're so far away, I'd eat at your house more often.
