River Bend Quilt Guild meets on the Northside of South Bend. There is a guild in Mishawaka, but I don't know the name. Ask at the Mishawaka Library, because that is where they have a show every year....

I also have softened water. I have had a Rowenta iron for over 5 yrs and always use distilled water. No problems here.

Rhonda, Scant is just a couple threads less than a 1/4" seam and makes the blocks join better. Mainly points on blocks.

Exactly why I don't shop this store. I refuse to play their games. Besides I think most of their fabric is poor quality. I will stick with real quilt shops, not junk shops. IMHO

I use my Bloc Loc rulers religiously. I have the 4.5 and the 6.5 and use both. I also have the Flying Geese in two size. They make my piecing life much easier. I always square up all my blocks.

I have one and find the best way is with steam. Does make seams flatter. If you goggle wool pressing mats there are places where they are cheaper than Quilt Shops. I paid less than $25 and it fits...
