When I first started, I traced around some thing round, like a coin, or depending on the size a cup etc. on freezer paper put that on the back of my fabric, when cutting leave seam to be turned under,,spray some canned starch in a small container,it will turn liquid, use a small brush or something like that ,while damp or wet use a toothpick and pull the seam to the freezer paper and press til dry, take off the fp turn and place where you want it.check and be sure the curve is as you want it. Now I can just needle turn just very small area and keep it smooth. Hope this makes sense to you let me know

Would love to be adopted! I am beyond a newbie though, very green! I have completed on one quilt, a turning twenties that I quilted on a long arm at my LQS but had a hard time doing it.

I would love to be adopted! I have some projects in my head...I know I can start them, but will have lots of questions along the way. It would be great to have someone to bounce ideas off of.

I would LOVE to be adopted!! I don't know any quilters in real life, except my Mother in Law, and she only does her tops, she's never quilted any quilts. Nothing wrong with that, but I LOVE handquilting and she's no help with that or machine quilting. Her arthritis is pretty bad, now, too, so she doesn't sew much anymore. I wish I had knew her in her heyday!

I've been quilting for a few years, but have only completed a few quilts and small projects. I am very much a "newbie" and I need help!

I promise to be a very good adoptee! And eat all my vegetables! LOL!

I would love to adopt. I have been quilting for over 29 years, I love teaching what I have learned. I dye & paint fabric too. I do piecing and applique. I consider my self a traditional quilter with a bit of a twist at at times. So if you would like to quilt with me just give me a jingle, leaha

I would LOVE to be adopted by a veteran quilter. I am making tons of arcs for my double wedding ring quilt by paper piecing them. My troubles ahead lie in appliquing these to the background. I have some ideas and would like this to be a "portable" project that I can take with me as opposed to sewing them on the machine. Anyone who has made one of these quilts before should have plenty of advice for me. Thanks, Clara

Well I'm a newbie and can always use a good lesson or two. Currently I have trouble with the corners on binding...I do hand quilting so it needs to look nice. I haven't had any complaints but my family don't know the difference..lol

Lovely idea. I am not sure which catagory I would be in. Not a beginner, but always keen to learn new things. and always happy to share what knowledge I have.
