I seem to recall reading that you could purchase a 1-year license to sell these bags for something like $100. Very special permission, LOL!

Mine turned out to be a red and black brocade which I'm very pleased with. Next time I would leave the straps a bit longer, and I discovered that it's not as large as it seems once I began packing it.

I made a tote bag just a few days ago and the straps were cut 60", perfect length for me, I'm 5'4". The straps went up and over both sides

I have sewn all my life (years and years - lol) and found the instructions very difficult to understand. I called the maker of the pattern twice (who was NOT HELPFUL at all). Perhaps I can help if you have questions because I just finished mine after months of agnozing (sp?) about the instructions.

I've also been sewing since I was 7 years and in 4-H, now I am the lucky grammy of 6 beautiful grandbabies. When I first bought the pattern, I wonder if I was going to "give up" before I got started. But someone very wise told me "not to over read the directions". Once I did that, it was easy. My Professional tote is on page 1 of this topic, the western one with "Buffalo Bill Cody" fabrics. I just love mine.......and I have a several on order to make for DS and DD's and DSIL etc.....

I made 5 of them before Christmas. They were much easier than I'd been told. I just had to go slowly, step by step and not read ahead of the step I was on at the time.

I just made this for my daughter for Christmas 2011. If I were to do this again I would use a lighter pellon for the lining and the manilla folder pocket.. I also used elastic instead of cord for the two outside end pockets. Have fun!

I would agree with this. It is actually pretty easy. I was told "not to over think it".

I have made several since I got my pattern a couple of years ago!!! I found that if you use a 16" seperating zipper and use a sport zipper looks better for the outside of the tote. Here are some pictures of the latest one I just finished for my sister.
