My boys won't answer their phones half the time, so texting is the only way I can get a response most of the time.

I only text to my youngest son because he gets texting for $10.00 a month and that is all he can afford. I have ATT and get 200 text for an extra $5.00 a month. I don't like to text but I do like to reach out and get in touch when I need to.

I text very rarely. There are times when texting is appropriate... like, to my 15yo DS. What else would he understand? lol. But I don't generally like texting, nor do I need to get email or web browse on my phone. I might have the service if it wasn't any more costly then just having the phone, but it is so I don't.

all the time! We had to go with a plan that had unlimited texting....three kids with phones! So we text because they will reply when you text! Dh and I text each other too. When he's at work its the easiest way to let him know something or ask him where something is. I have been known to throw the phone across the car though when they text me when they KNOW I'm driving! I cannot see to test while I'm driving.
