After spending so much time ripping out the threads and reading your responses, I have decided to hand quilt it. I can't spend time ripping out if I'm not happy with the machine. Also, if the thread melts in the dryer, I don't want to use it. This quilt is for my granddaughter. I think I can do it quicker by hand. Thanks for all your suggestions! You responded so quickly!

This is what I do also. Invisible on the top and regular thread in the bobbin. Works great for me.
