Well, since you used non-permanent coloring, you can just re-dye it with no problems, but I think I would just use a bottle that has 2 colors in 1 bottle(that way your living a little-just alittle safer)

The blonde area, depending on how light it is can get some very masty color casts by putting a too dark color over it without a filler. Again trying to bleach out or color remove the black can also give unwanted results. It has to be watched very closely or there can be damage to the hair. A demi color would be the best choice on the blonde..it is a deposit only and use one shade lighter than the desired results. But now maybe you have started a new trend..lol. JMHO

OK- I let my cousin, the beautician (really) color my hair a few years ago. It was darker than my hair had EVER been, I hated it, I wanted it out of my hair. So I went to a beauty supply shop and she suggested I wash it several times with Dawn dishwashing detergent. She said that is hard on the hair but would help remove the color - or reduce the color - it worked!! I conditioned the heck out of it - success!!!

As a hair stylist, I have had several clients call me with similar predicaments, my suggestion, if you don't want to pay a professional to correct this is to go to a beauty supply house and ask for a color remover, this will lighten up the hair, but depending on the color you used to the results of the detergent, this should the hair color will vary, you may need to color your hair again to try and get an average looking color, another idea is to shampoo with tide laundry soap, your hair feeling odd because it has stripped all the oil out of your hair, so this means a very, very good conditioner, good luck, :D

I think I must be getting used to my hair a little. It doesn't bother me as much as it did a couple days ago when it happened. I mean it is temporary haircolor after all. Or maybe my new medicine is just making me more "mellow".
I'm shampooing every day and I can see a slight improvement or maybe it's just wishful thinking.
My 5yr old grandson didn't like it. Said I didn't look like Grandma anymore.
Anyway I really do appreciate all the suggestions.

I am a beautician. If it's semi-permanent and its not SO bad, sometimes just washing with some dishsoap or a clarifying shampoo will pull some of it out. It's easy, cheap, and worth a try. Make sure you condition well afterwards though because obviously it will dry your hair out some.
