Those panels are just awome. I would love to find some just like them. They tell a story of the past when times were so simple. They are beautiful.

I would paint the quilt only in each panel, then put extra "trapunto" batting under the quilt only. Then set them all with sashing (red?).

Good find. A story all it's own. Keep this one for yourself!

I think I would consider putting them all in a quilt with a sashing made of colorful, scrappy, small squares (maybe at least 3-4 squares wide). Not sure if that makes sense. I would repeat the scrappy squares in a border with some solid border(s) and make one of the borders white (I would try to match the white in the panels. One thought anyway.

I would make at least four wall hangings out of four single pictures. I was thinking you could paint a little bit with those Shiva oil sticks, like just a little green in a tree or red on a roof, whatever you want to highlight. What a find!

It looks like you have enough to also make several quilts with some green or red borders. I don't know why, those are the colors that are calling to me... I think little nine patches in scrappy prints, either in primary colors or black and white for borders or sashing.

So Exciting! Post these beautiful blocks in a place you can look at them for awhile, the ideas will start to flow! Have fun!
