:-) It really has been a tough Summer in OK. So thankful I had my electric bill averaged so it's always the same monthly. My house is only maybe 1000 sq ft but my payment is 139.00

I was pleasantly surprised to see only $95! But I know this one coming will be much more!

1800 SF and we keep it on 78. Pella windows with the blinds inside get tilted when the sun is on the back of the house.

I feel better after reading these posts! Our bill was $277 for 2000 square feet and one person... the highest it has ever been by more than $100. I was horrified, thought I had been doing everything I could to keep the bill down. Water bill also doubled and I haven't done anything differently. Apparently, they raised the rates that much.

Our bill was 385$ and will probably be more this month. We have had 40 or more days of over 100 and no rain. Thank you Lord for all our blessings and being able to pay this without going with out food. lol

A cooler is great if you have no humidity. When we lived in NM it was dry and that cooler almost frooze us out. Now in N. TX and my bill was $189.00 for 2,000 sq ft. I did replace my air conditioner last year, and I run my ceiling fans on low all the time, sure makes a difference. I too am total electric.

Our electric for July was $294.00. We have window A/C's, but makes no difference. Had a heat pump and it was no better. Going with a Central Air Cond. unit next yr. We are all electric, and our home is 1848 sq feet. Thank goodness for the A/C. We heat with a pellet stove which is wonderous!!!

Our 1500 sf home in NYC cost about $400 for electric during the summer and equally as much for gas heating during the winter. Here in Casa Grande, Az. we have a 2600 sf all-electric home and pay $220 on the budget plan. Our windows have sun screens and we just recently added a high-performance electric saving pump on our pool. It's cheaper here.

I was surprised that it was under $300 and only about $20 more than June -- the next one will be more, I'm sure, as it was been very hot with no relief in sight -- forecasting folk think that we will have been relief in October unless there is a tropical whatever that comes our way sooner! There is also our water bill for keeping grass and bushes somewhat green or at least not brown!
