Not sure what ours is. We are on the budget plan and have been SO GOOD at reducing energy usage during the rest of the year, I still have a credit on my account.

I live in hot Arizona, got a new pool that we had to run 24/7 for 2 weeks, and have my Joplin relatives staying with us. Our house is 2200 square feet, with 2 air conditioning units. Grand total for our last electric bill was $490. OUCH. Last summer my hubby was in Iraq and I was here alone. The bill was under $200. I guess being a good relative is expensive!

I live in Las Vegas, NV. We have a pool and a spa and my son-in-law is a computer guy (7 computers in his office at home) and our bill this past month was $478. I was amazed at the small bills for the midwest with all the heat. Gladly trade anything under $300!!

Opened my electric bill while on the phone with a friend. Told her if she heard a thud to call 911. Mine was $380.01. Not bad for a month of 100+ heat. I make up for the high summer bills in the winter.

Our bill for July was $278.00 and will probably be more for the month of August. We have 2800 sq.ft. and I also have a 400 sq. ft. quilting room separate from the house. I have brought my machine into the house to sew because running the AC out in my room just adds to the bill. We keep ours at 79. We had two new units put in last summer and they just completed putting in all new high energy windows (35) last week. So we'll see if that helps! The heat in Texas this summer is brutel.

I dread seeing my water bill as well. I am watering the minimum that I can and make sure my foundation is protected.
This show differences in different areas. Why do you have to water to protect your foundation?

NOW I see this has been already answered. Thanks.
We're on clay. If it cracks and then rains, it can swell and crack your foundation.

I hate the clay. I have some fence posts that I have to dig, straighten and then add cement. It's really sapping my energy.
