You are lucky. Mine was $316.42. Now we are waiting on the next one. They read the meter on the 11th, so we will see.

Here in southern CA we pay monthly. I would imagine most of the rest of the country does as well.

My weather is not hot and I am paying $150+ a month. Our furnace ran a few times last month, but DH has all the home theater stuff and won't turn it off. Our bill would be so much more reasonable with out the energy hogs running.

Our July bill was $130, a/c kept at 73, about 4500 sq. ft. , we cool and heat 1st floor and basement. We have Geo-Thermal, house about 7 yrs.old.
In the winter, the bill has never been over $280.

Our electric co. just had a rate increase the end of June. We have so many extras added that makes our bills higher.

I want to go back to a house but DH is a pain in the !@#Z$#

We also have geothermal, two units in our house, had to do a retrofit to replace two units. My bill was $149 for 2500 sq ft total electric with two hot water heaters, one with desuperheater. LOL, don't need near as much hot water lately. We built our house in 1991 with 6" outside walls for the extra insulation.

Ours was $239.00. We've lived in this house since 1973, and this is the highest it's ever been.

Mine was $218 for a 2200 sq ft house. This was less than I paid last year, even with the excessive heat we've been having. The reason? My DH has finally seen the light! He has finally realized that turning the thermostat down even one or two degrees can make the cost go up tremendously. We turn it up to 80 in the daytime, because we're mostly not there anyway, and we use ceiling fans day and night. At night we only turn it down to 76, but cooling four degrees in a big house in the hot Texas summer uses a lot of electricity. I think my next bill will probably be higher, and we've got a couple of months more of really high temperatures, but every little bit of conserving helps.

Mine was 348.00. and i know that August will be more. It has been over the 100's here in texas. and believe me i do turn off all lights when not in used and i have all window shades down so no sunlight enters the house. and i keep it in 78 to 80 degrees. And it feels cool comparing 108 degress outside.
