My first job that I got paid for was A&W car hop. Since then have been Short order cook,Office Sec. in Co. Treasurer's office, Semi Driver, Manager of Independent Living Facility, Now employed as a School Bus Driver. I always seem to go back to what I was raised with Semi Trucks or driving something similar.

I started out too many yrs ago as a waitress @ .78 cents an hour. Tips were supposed to bring us up to min wage. Then a CNA for many yrs until I injured my back and the last 16 yrs I have been a Supervisor, working with developmentally handicapped adults. Liked the job but loved my clients. Was forced to retire last yr on disability after my latest, one of way to many, back surgeries. I don't miss the job--too many changes with the economy but I sure as the devil miss my clients!!

Registered nurse, worked mostly maternal/child and psychiatry, also IV therapy. Retired now, do what I want, when I want. Some days I am happy with that, most days I miss the high of nursing.

Hi, I'm a library technician (librarian) at an elementary school in San Diego. Love my job. Are we the only quilters working in libraries?
