Was a high school dropout (how dumb was that!). Got married (dumber still), then had three children and divorced the albatross. Ten years out of high school, I went back to school and college and within eight years received a doctorate.

Before I discovered quilting in 2004, I was a higher education administrator at several universities and an Executive Director of statewide math and science programs (at different times) in two different states. My focus was in Program Management and Major Fund Raising.

I have lived in a dozen different states during career moves. I loved my jobs, but found that I love quilting more. So, I quit work to spend fulltime in this newfound artistic hobby. When I have some spare time, I also evaluate programs for the Feds.

Was a college dropout, then married the great guy I dated in high school. Was a stay at home mom for our three children. My husband put me through college and took over child rearing when I went back to college at 33. Have been teaching for 18 years now and beginning to think about retiring when I think I will be able to afford my addiction to quilting. Now that my children are married and beginning to have grandchildren, I will want to make quilts for each of them.

Spent 25 years as a legal secretary/legal assistant in private law firms and the last 10 years as a legal secretary in the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office for 19 attorneys. I'm now retired and loving it. DH is semi-retired and works 2 days a week for the company he retired from. Presently I'm president of the the local quilt guild. Serving my last year and they're already trying to talk me into running again. I really think I'll have to be a little nuts to agreeo to do this job again for 2 years.
